- 전통문화 전시를 계기로 교류 물꼬… 공동연구·콘텐츠 개발·전시 협력 추진

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 국립순천대학교박물관(관장 양숙향)이 러시아 연방 부랴티야공화국 울란우데에 위치한 국립부랴티야공화국박물관(관장 보로노에바 타티야나 아나톨리예브나, 이하 부랴티야박물관)과 지난 7월 7일, 문화예술 분야 상호 협력을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 7월 6일부터 11일까지 부랴티야박물관에서 열린 ‘민화, 한국의 전통예술’ 전시와 연계하여, 향후 문화·예술 교류 기회를 확대하고자 체결되었다.

협약서에는 △문화 및 예술 분야의 교류 증진 △문화유산 기반 콘텐츠 공동 기획 및 홍보 협력 △관련 주제의 연구 및 학술 교류 △기타 상호 발전에 기여하는 협력 사항 등이 담겼다. 양 기관은 앞으로 공동연구, 전시, 교육프로그램 등 다방면에서 협력하며 교류 기반을 다지기로 약속했다.

보로노에바 타티야나 관장은 “이번 협약이 양국 간 문화예술 분야의 지속적이고 내실 있는 교류로 이어지는 계기가 되기를 바란다”라고 전했다. 이에 국립순천대 양숙향 관장은 “문화유산을 기반으로 국제 협력의 새로운 가능성을 탐색하는 새로운 전환점이 되길 바란다”라며, “K-컬처에 힘입어 대학박물관이 학술 기반 문화 외교의 현장으로 거듭나도록 노력하겠다”라고 밝혔다.

한편, 국립순천대학교박물관은 전남 동부권을 대표하는 교육·연구 중심 대학박물관으로, 지역의 역사와 문화유산을 조명하는 전시와 교육프로그램을 활발히 운영하고 있다. 최근에는 글로컬대학으로서 국제 교류와 전통문화 확산을 위한 전시 기획에도 적극적으로 나서고 있다.

Sunchon National University Museum Signs Cultural Exchange Agreement with the National Museum of the Republic of Buryatia, Russia

? Partnership initiated through traditional Korean art exhibition; joint research, content development, and exhibition cooperation to follow

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its university museum (Director Yang Sook-hyang) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on July 7 with the National Museum of the Republic of Buryatia (Director Boronoeva Tatyana Anatolyevna), located in Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia, Russian Federation. The agreement aims to promote mutual cooperation in the fields of culture and the arts.

The signing of the MOU was held in conjunction with the exhibition “Minhwa: Traditional Korean Art”, which was presented at the Buryatia museum from July 6 to 11. The exhibition served as a catalyst for expanding future opportunities for cultural and artistic exchange.

The agreement outlines areas of collaboration including; △Promoting cultural and artistic exchange between the two institutions, △Joint planning and promotion of heritage-based cultural content, △Research and academic exchange on relevant themes, △Other cooperative initiatives that contribute to the mutual advancement of both institutions

Both parties agreed to strengthen their partnership through joint research, exhibitions, and educational programs across various fields of mutual interest. Director Boronoeva Tatyana stated, “I hope this agreement serves as a foundation for ongoing and meaningful cultural and artistic exchange between our two countries.”

Director Yang Sook-hyang of Sunchon National University Museum responded, “This partnership offers a new starting point to explore possibilities for international cooperation grounded in cultural heritage,” and added, “With the growing influence of K-culture, our university museum will continue to serve as a platform for academic-based cultural diplomacy.”

The Sunchon National University Museum is a leading educational and research museum in the eastern region of Jeollanam-do. It actively hosts exhibitions and educational programs that highlight local history and cultural heritage. In recent years, it has also taken the lead in promoting international exchange and the global dissemination of Korean traditional culture as part of its role within the Glocal University initiative.
