- 사업 성과 발표 및 성과 확산을 위한 토론의 장 마련

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 2025년 재정지원사업의 우수 성과 발표 및 우수 사례 공유 등을 위하여 지난 22일~23일 양일간 2025년 재정지원사업 전담인력 공동 성과 공유 워크숍을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 워크숍에는 2025년 추진중인 글로컬대학사업·국립대학육성사업·RISE사업단 전담직원 등 100여 명이 참여해 각 사업단의 사업 추진 현황 및 향후 계획에 대해 안내하면서 주요 우수사례를 선정·공유하여 성과확산을 위한 장을 마련했다.

사업단별 주요 우수사례로는 ▲「지산학캠퍼스 구축 및 운영」 등 4건(글로컬대학사업단), ▲「자유전공학부 전공 및 진로탐색 프로그램 운영」 등 4건(국립대학육성사업단), ▲「AI기반 작물 이미지 인식과 농업 로봇 통합을 통한 스마트 농작업 혁신」 등 2건(RISE사업단)이 선정됐다.

또한, 재정지원사업 우수 성과 달성에 기여한 바가 큰 전담직원에 대한 총장 표창 수여식을 진행하였다. 표창 대상자는 ▲주지영 학술연구교수, ▲김정희 연구원, ▲서주리 실무관(이상 글로컬대학사업단), ▲손요한 전임연구원, ▲정진희 연구원, ▲박재은 실무관(이상 국립대학육성사업단), ▲설미향 실무관(RISE사업단) 등 총 7명이다.

아울러 조직 내 소통 및 갈등 해결을 위해 표창원 범죄과학연구소 표창원 소장을 초청, ‘공멸을 향한 충돌, 막을 순 없나?’라는 주제로 특강이 진행됐다. 최근 세대·성별 간 갈등이 심화되는 가운데 갈등 해소를 위해 가져야 할 마음 자세와 의사 소통 방법에 대한 표창원 소장의 심도 깊은 강연이 이루어졌다.

이병운 국립순천대학교 총장은 “올해 재정지원사업에서 거둔 우수한 성과는 교육 혁신 및 학교 발전을 위해 최선을 다해준 사업 전담 직원들의 노력 덕분”이라며 “2년 연속 최우수 평가를 받은 국립대학육성사업을 비롯해 글로컬대학사업 및 RISE사업의 본격화와 발맞추어 대학 내·외부의 벽을 허무는 과감한 혁신을 계속해서 추진하여 지역과 함께하는 대표 국립대학을 만들어 가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

한편, 국립순천대학교는 2년 연속 국립대학육성사업 성과평가 최우수 등급 획득, 2023년 전남 유일한 글로컬대학 선정, 2025년 RISE사업 신청 주관과제 모두 선정 등 지역혁신 중심대학으로서 위상을 강화하고 있다.

SCNU Concludes 2025 Joint Workshop for Government-Funded University Project Taskforces

- Sharing best practices and expanding project outcomes through collaboration

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-Woon) announced that it successfully held the 2025 Joint Workshop for Government-Funded University Project Taskforces from October 22 to 23, aimed at sharing achievements and best practices from major higher education support programs.

The two-day workshop brought together around 100 project staff members from the Glocal University 30 Project, the National University Development Project, and the RISE Project. Participants shared updates on each project’s progress, discussed future directions, and presented exemplary cases to promote mutual learning and dissemination of successful practices.

Among the best practices presented were: ▲Four cases from the Glocal University Project Team, including “Establishment and Operation of the Ji-San-Hak (Local-Industry-University) Campus” ▲Four cases from the National University Development Project Team, including “Operation of Major and Career Exploration Programs for the Interdisciplinary Studies Department” ▲Two cases from the RISE Project Team, including “Smart Agricultural Innovation through AI-based Crop Image Recognition and Agricultural Robotics Integration.”

In recognition of their contributions to the university’s outstanding project performance, President Lee Byung-Woon presented commendations to seven exemplary staff members: Ju Ji-Young (Academic Research Professor), Kim Jung-Hee (Researcher), Seo Ju-Ri (Administrative Officer) from the Glocal University Project Team; Son Yo-Han (Senior Researcher), Jung Jin-Hee (Researcher), Park Jae-Eun (Administrative Officer) from the National University Development Project Team; and Seol Mi-Hyang (Administrative Officer) from the RISE Project Team.

The workshop also featured a special lecture by Dr. Pyo Chang-Won, Director of the Crime Science Research Institute, titled “Collisions Toward Co-Destruction?Can They Be Prevented?” His lecture addressed the growing polarization across generations and genders, emphasizing empathy, communication, and leadership as tools for resolving social and organizational conflicts.

President Lee Byung-Woon stated, “The remarkable outcomes achieved this year reflect the dedication and professionalism of our project teams, who have worked tirelessly for educational innovation and institutional development. Building on SCNU’s consecutive top-tier evaluations in the National University Development Project, we will continue bold reforms through the Glocal University and RISE initiatives, shaping SCNU into a leading national university that grows hand in hand with the community.”

SCNU continues to strengthen its position as a regional innovation leader, earning the highest evaluation grade for two consecutive years in the National University Development Project, being the only university in Jeollanam-do selected for the 2023 Glocal University 30 initiative, and securing all submitted RISE project proposals for 2025.
