The objective of the College of Education is to develop competent secondary school teachers who can contribute to development of the democratic society with integrated thinking abilities based on theories of each major and practical teaching skills as well as a strong sense of duty.
With the systematic education systems, the College has ensured a high success rate for the teacher qualification examination and contributed to diverse national education areas.

Physics is a field of study that explains and predicts natural phenomena with fundamental principles and logical way of thinking. The academic methods of physics have provided the basis for modern science, and its knowledge system for modern natural science, engineering, medical science and social science.

The objective of the Department is to develop competent secondary school teachers of physics who have professional understanding of the knowledge system of physics and scientific methods of research as well as enthusiasm for education. The curricular include dynamics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, philosophy of science, and history of science, which can help the students to learn major theories and professional knowledge of general science and physics and also broaden their knowledge about natural phenomena and technology engineering.

The Department offers training for experiments and also programs aligned with research societies and projects for popularization of science. In addition, it provides curriculum subjects for developing proper views on education, including theories of physical science education, exploratory learning, and teaching methods, those for studying/developing teaching materials of physics, and also programs for mutual exchange with in-service teachers and participation in secondary school education, which motivates the students to acquire professional expertise, proper attitudes for a teacher, and strong sense of duty.

The graduates are given a teaching certificate for secondary school physics and general science. In case of a double major, they can enter into educational professions relating to mathematics and chemistry too. Other relevant professions include a civil servant in the field of science working for the central government or a local government and a professional journalist for the press or an enterprise. Considering business start-up is possible as well, leveraging professional expertise acquired from the study.
