The College of Humanities and Arts is developing experts equipped with a comprehensive perspective and problem-solving abilities needed for the culture industry, which is becoming more significant in the 21st-century information age. By integrating the humanities with various areas of arts, the College aims to develop holistic/cultural human resources who can contribute to advancement of the culture industry.
The first department of Art Photography established by a national university in 1996 provides the curricula, consisting of artistic photographs, commercial photographs, videos, digital photos, and applied photography, which can be applied to pure arts to IT, CT, and other relevant fields.
In 2006 the Department has been selected for the NURI (New University for Regional Innovation) Project [Development of Experts for the Culture Industry ?Large Scale] , funded by the Ministry of Education · Human Resources Development. A total of KRW 16 billion is used for tailored support programs in the form of scholarships, overseas training, and internship, which is worth KRW 6 million per student.
