The College of Humanities and Arts is developing experts equipped with a comprehensive perspective and problem-solving abilities needed for the culture industry, which is becoming more significant in the 21st-century information age. By integrating the humanities with various areas of arts, the College aims to develop holistic/cultural human resources who can contribute to advancement of the culture industry.
About the Department
In this 21st-century global information age requiring foreign language education and keen understanding of foreign cultures, the Department aims to develop professional experts on Japan by providing extensive education of the Japanese language and culture.
In an effort to provide practical education programs, the Department offers systematic curricular including the Japanese Grammar, Japanese Conversation, Business Japanese, Current Japanese and Japanese Social culture, which helps to improve not only language skills but also understanding of the popular culture and literature.
The teacher education course trains students who desire to be a Japanese teacher as well, and the double major system expands employment opportunities for the graduates.
