Global, Professional Human Resources for Ushering in the Northeast Asia Era
The purpose of the College of Social Sciences is to develop competent, professional human resources who can respond to the fast-changing demands of society, and who can lead the future society with outstanding understanding of the field and "glocal" abilities. In particular, the College is focused on development of business experts as the need has been growing because of the Gwangyangman Bay Free Economic Zone and 2012 Yeosu Expo and also new leadership for ushering in the new era of Northeast Asia.

About the Department

Home page

The objective of Public Administration is to develop competent public administrators who can lead national and regional development in the 21st century. The Department provides education and training for organization management, creative policy development and problem solving, appreciation for democratic citizenship, and public service ethics, as well as leadership for a local government and organization. Students are supported by systematic education and also programs for preparing for public examinations so that they can successfully become civil servants or join a public enterprise. A large number of the graduates are actively working in the field, and the Department will continue to assist the students effectively in realizing their goals and dreams.
