- 애니메이션·문화콘텐츠 스쿨 및 행정학과 학생 대상, 전공 연계 실습 프로그램

- 지역 문제 해결형 비즈니스 모델 탐색 … 공공기관 탐방·전문가 특강 진행 

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 위험사회 컨소시엄 인문사회융합인재양성사업단(이하 ‘위험사회 HUSS 사업단’)은 지난 5월 18일부터 19일까지 이틀간, 애니메이션·문화콘텐츠 스쿨 1학년과 행정학과 재학생을 대상으로 ‘소셜 비즈니스 기획 워크숍’을 운영했다고 밝혔다.

이번 워크숍은 인문사회융합인재양성전공 내 ‘소셜 비즈니스 기획 트랙’의 교육과정과 연계해 마련됐다. 해당 트랙은 초연결사회에서 발생하는 복합적 사회문제에 대응할 수 있는 기획력과 정책 설계 역량을 함양하는 데 중점을 둔다.

전공 트랙 이수를 희망하는 재학생 38명이 참여한 이번 워크숍은 ▲콘텐츠 융합을 통한 문제 해결 사례 ▲지역소멸 대응형 비즈니스 모델 탐색 ▲공공기관 및 사회적 기업 탐방 ▲비즈니스 전문가 특강 등으로 구성되어, 현장 실습 중심의 다채로운 프로그램이 운영되었다.

주요 탐방지로는 주민 주도의 콘텐츠 개발을 통해 지역 경제 활성화와 지역소멸 문제 해결을 실천하고 있는 충주 관아골, 관광 플랫폼으로서 다양한 산업과 융합을 실현하고 있는 한국관광공사 본사, 예술과 자연이 조화를 이루는 복합 문화공간 뮤지엄 산 등이 포함됐다.

전문가 특강에서는 민관 거버넌스를 통한 지역 자립 사례와 더불어, 문화·IT·의료·스포츠·교육 분야를 융합한 관광 비즈니스 모델, 공공기관의 사회적 역할 등에 대한 심도 있는 강연이 이어졌다. 이 외에도 원도심 워킹 투어, 제임스터렐관 감상 등 체험형 프로그램이 함께 진행되며, 현장 중심의 교육 경험이 강화되었다.

국립순천대학교 김선명 사업단장은 “융합 교육과정에서 배운 내용을 토대로 실제 사례에 적용해 보는 워크숍 과정이 중요하다”라며, “학생들이 지역 문제를 주제로 다양한 콘텐츠가 기획·운영되는 현장을 둘러보며, 앞으로 지역에 적용 가능한 모델을 구체적으로 고민해 보길 바란다”라고 전했다.

한편, 위험사회 HUSS 사업단은 국립순천대학교를 비롯해 선문대, 세종대, 순천향대, 국립한밭대가 함께 컨소시엄을 구성해 2023년부터 교육부와 한국연구재단의 지원으로 운영되고 있다. 인문사회 기반의 융합교육을 통해 사회적 실천 역량을 갖춘 인재 양성을 목표로 다양한 교육 프로그램을 추진 중이다.

SCNU HUSS Project Group Hosts Social Business Planning Workshop for Undergraduate Students

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that the HUSS Project Group for Humanities and Social Sciences Talent Development in Risk Society (hereinafter referred to as the “HUSS Project Group”) held a two-day “Social Business Planning Workshop” from May 18 to 19 for first-year students from the School of Animation and Cultural Contents and undergraduate students majoring in Public Administration.

The workshop was organized in connection with the curriculum of the “Social Business Planning Track,” one of the interdisciplinary tracks offered under the HUSS program. This track focuses on cultivating planning and policy design capabilities to address complex social issues emerging in today’s hyperconnected society.

A total of 38 students aspiring to complete the track participated in the workshop. The program included hands-on sessions such as: ▲ case studies of problem-solving through content convergence ▲ exploration of business models to address issues like regional depopulation ▲ site visits to public institutions and social enterprises, and ▲ lectures by business experts.

Major field visit locations included Gwanagol Village in Chungju, where residents are directly involved in content creation to revitalize the local economy and respond to population decline; the headquarters of the Korea Tourism Organization, known for its convergence with various industries as a tourism platform; and Museum SAN, a complex cultural space harmonizing art and nature.

Expert lectures featured in-depth discussions on public-private governance cases for local self-sufficiency, tourism business models that integrate fields such as culture, IT, healthcare, sports, and education, and the role of public institutions in supporting social innovation. The program also included experiential activities such as an old-town walking tour and a viewing of the James Turrell Gallery, offering students an immersive educational experience.

Kim Sun-myung, director of the HUSS Project Group at SCNU, remarked, “Workshops like this are crucial in helping students apply what they’ve learned in interdisciplinary courses to real-world contexts. I hope students gain insight into how content-based solutions can be developed and implemented to address local issues.”

The HUSS Project Group is operated through a consortium of Sunchon National University, Sunmoon University, Sejong University, Soonchunhyang University, and Hanbat National University. Since 2023, it has been supported by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea, with the goal of nurturing practical and socially engaged talent through integrated humanities and social science education.
